I ended up getting really frustrated watching it as I thought it had a really good hook. In the end, the whole thing ends up being a series of short films that I found engaging, and when it’s combined into one film, it just gets repetitive. That’s not to say that it’s not effective, it’s a completely appropriately brutal depiction of violence against women, but also how it depicts the sexism of the 70s.

The main thing that appealed to me about this movie was the idea of the game show part and it ended up feeling really undercooked and it ended up not adding much to the overall story. There are some very effective sequences and it’s very nicely shot, but it’s so uneven that I couldn’t help but be disappointed with the final product.
